Updated Night Skin Care Routine

Hey there! 🐩

Last week I posted about my morning skin care routines and I want to follow that up with a night routine along with my sister. The other two sisters are lazy so I won’t include them. I’ll just do another post for them as they have dry skin.

To be honest, I usually am tired after a long day and I’m just so lazy to do anything other than sleep after I feed my kitten 🐈. So I’ll be doing a Really lazy routine and My skin hates me I want it to look better routine this time.

🍔 The Really Lazy Routine:

1. Face wash

Yes I love this face wash by The Saem because it doesn’t dry my skin and it removes impurities, sebum, sweat and all of that in one go. I’ll write a review on this soon 🐇

Angel uses Happy Bath Yogurt Face Wash in Grain. This does what mine does but this removes blackheads better. Although I like the Essence one better than the Grain variant.

2. Treatment toner

We both have acne problems and excessive sebum production. So we use this to help clear and prevent acne on our faces. Her skin is getting a lot better, all that’s left are a few spots here and there and a lot of acne marks. Review here!

Okay that’s it haha! 😂 I’m not kidding. We just want to make sure that our faces are clean and that our pimples are taken care of. This doesn’t make our skin hydrated so this probably is a bad idea for everyday.

🍱 The Let’s Love Our Skin Better For A Clearer, Healthier Skin Routine:

1. Oil cleanser

This cruelty free all natural oil cleanser from Human Heart Nature is amazing! It helps break down makeup, sweat, oil, dust that accumulated on the skin through the day.

2. Face wash

To remove all dirt, sweat, makeup residue.

3. Clay mask

We use this to detoxify our skin and pores, have tighter pores, and brighter complexion. Using this before the treatment toner makes it penetrate my skin better and I find that it helps my skin drink the next products well. I’ll write about this soon! 🐈

4. Treatment toner

I really can’t do my skin care without this. (Check it out here!)

5. Hydrating toner

To prevent excess sebum production we make sure to use a hydrating toner as it helps deliver the next products deep in the skin.

6. Sheet Mask

Optional. Only when I have extra time or for when my skin feels particularly dry. Extra hydration boost for a deeper skin hydration.

7. Serums

There are a lot of types of serums/essences. These are thicker than toners, but thinner than lotions/creams. It’s considered the heart of the routine as each serum/essence has its specific problem target:

  • Anti-ageing
  • Hydrating
  • Pore tightening
  • Whitening
  • Lifting
  • Wrinkle care

And a lot more. Take your pick!

For me I use The Face Shop Bifida All in One serum as it helps condition my skin well. Er.. it helps with my skin problems 😂 I had a post about this, tell me if you want to read about it I’ll repost it 😊

For her it’s Galactomyces Serum to brighten her skin and reduce the acne marks. I also use this.

8. Eye cream

To help already present wrinkles and fine lines and prevent them. Review here!

9. Moisturizer

To finish it all off, we lock everything in while we give our face a little massage.

TIPS:

  1. Clay or detoxifying masks/pacts are used 2 to 3 times a week depending on your skin condition.
  2. Use a serum or essence that works for you. One that will help with your target problems. Same goes for toners and moisturizers.
  3. Treatment toners are optional of course. If you don’t need it don’t use it.
  4. When layering products always start from thinnest to heaviest. Give your skin a little massage.
  5. A great tip I learned is that damp face absorbs better, and layering products when they are not completely dry works best specially if your problem is dehydrated or dry skin as this will ensure that your skin is absorbing the products well.
  6. Layering one product after the last one have already dried is like trying to get in a sealed gate.
  7. DON’T OVER DO IT. It will cause more problems than fix any.
  8. It’s really okay to use what you use in the morning! 😊👍
  9. Never exceed the time indicated on the sheet mask packet. This will ensure that your skin is moisturized and hydrated. Leaving it on too long or even overnight will just dry the sheet and taking moisture from your skin in the process.

Gentle Reminders:

  1. Do remember that you do skin care routines to help your skin. Your skin’s problems/concerns. It’s relaxing too.
  2. It’s about the ingredients and formulation that your skin will accept.
  3. Always do a patch test, see if your skin would react badly to the product.

Anyway, there you have it. Our night skin care routine. We hope you enjoyed reading and picked up something helpful! Thank you for stopping by 🐇❤

Updated Morning Skin Care Routine

Hi there! 🐈

Today I wanna share with you my morning skin care routine. There will be a lazy one, a before makeup one, and a I’m not going out so let’s spend more time on this one. 😂

Let’s get to it!

The Before Makeup Routine:

1. Face wash

I use my The Saem facial wash. I like how this removes impurities, oils, sweat on the skin. I don’t use a cleansing gel or cream because I don’t have an air conditioner and I live in a tropical country so I sweat at night and my skin oils up throughout the sleep. I’ll make a review on this soon.

2. Treatment toner

While my face is still damp, I apply my Cosrx A-sol on my problem areas. It helps my skin clear of pimples. Review here

3. Hydrating toner

I spritz my all time favorite A’pieu Hyaluronic Skin all over the face and pat it until it’s almost dry. I can’t skip this part because my skin tightens and feels dry if I don’t use this. But it’s almost over 🙁 I need to get a new one or something that will do it’s job like this *cries quietly*

4. Moisturizer

And then I take my moisturizer, this time it’s the Neogen Code 9, dot it all over my face and massage it in. Pat it down and I’m done!

5. Oh and if I go out, I slather my sunblock! Read it here!

The Lazy Routine:

1. Face wash

For a clean face.

2. Treatment toner

For controlling and preventing pimples.

3. Hydrating toner

To prevent dryness. Very important!

3.5 Sometimes moisturizer

Sometimes I slather some moisturizer when I don’t feel too lazy. But usually I don’t do this.

Honestly, I use this routine more often 😂

The Spending More Time On This Routine:

1. Face wash

Can’t start skin care without a clean face!

2. Treatment toner

For pimple reasons. There was a week that I stopped using this and my skin missed it so bad it started forming some again specially on the parts my kitten like to sleep on lol!

3. Hydrating toner

Oh you know why!

4. Face Mask

For maximum hydration specially when my skin is hating me so much. Serum To give some love and massage on my skin.

5. Serum

This one depends on the weather or what my skin needs at the moment. I’ve been loving this one! I’ll make a review on this soon 🐈

6. Eye cream

Because I’m not lazy and because it helps with fine lines. Check it out here!

7. Moisturizer

To seal everything in, keep deep layers of skin hydrated and help prevent too much sebum production.

TIPS:

  1. Always do a patch test.
  2. You can use what you usually use for the steps.
  3. Treatment toners are optional of course.
  4. The most important tip we have for you is use products that targets your skin concerns.
  5. Choose a product that works for your skin with ingredients that won’t irritate or aggravate your skin condition.

Remember, you’re/we’re doing this to help our skin!

For reference:

My skin is combination type, oily T-zone and the sides of the nose and eyelids, enlarged pores, acne-prone, cystic and cluster acne problems, sensitive, uneven skin tone.

What’s your morning routine? Any tips for us? What do you think? Share it! 🐈

Petitfee Oil Blossom Lip Mask

Hey! How was your week? Good I hope!

Today I want to share something that I use to help my lips! 👄 This is a quick read.

A lot of times we (I) neglect our puckers specially when we are just rushing or too tired. And whether it’s hot or cold we all know our lips need extra loving since it has very thin skin.

Petitfee Oil Blossom Lip Mask is my current favorite for pampering my lips.

There are 2 types:

Sadly I only got the Vita-Brightening 🙁

Packaging:

It’s in a small glass pot and it comes with a small spatula!

Smell:

Smells like lemon and ginger. I love the combination ❤

Texture:

In the pot it’s a solid balm type. When spread on the skin it melts with the skin temperature, smooth application.

My experiences

  • Did not cause any irritations.
  • It smells wonderful!
  • A little goes a long way with this product. Half a pea size is enough. Too much even!
  • It doesn’t feel greasy. It’s so easy to spread.
  • It does not have any stinging or numbing effect.
  • It’s lightweight. Feels like I have nothing on the lips.
  • It has a plumping effect on the lips.
  • It hydrated my lips real well!
  • The discoloration on my lips lightened.
  • Using as a lip mask, the next day my lips are properly hydrated that it does not chap, crack or dry even though it’s hot outside.
  • It can be used as a sleeping lip mask or a lip balm for when you are on the go.

APPLICATION:

  • Be sure to exfoliate first.
  • Before sleeping, apply on the lips. Scoop out a tiny amount using the small spatula that it comes with. By tiny amount I really mean tiny. Like a drop of water tiny.
  • Before doing your skin care in the morning I highly suggest you gently rub this all over your lips, when it’s time to do the lip makeup your lips will be soft, hydrated and it’ll be easier for your lipstick or liptint to adhear and apply.
  • Or when you’re on the go you can depot it in a smaller container and carry it around.

Removing:

  • Gently wipe off in the morning.

I really love this product, but I want to try the pink one too.

That’s it for today! Thank you for stopping by! ❤ Next week is about skin care! Yay!!

Any thoughts? Comments? Have you tried this? Share it down the comments!

Angel Factory Salt Mist

Hey everyone! 🐇 It’s Saturday again and today is all about face mists! But before anything else, I will be changing some format in my posts for a quicker read.

I’ve started using some face mists for these reasons:

  1. They’re efficient.
  2. Fast.
  3. I live in a humid climate country.
  4. My skin feels dehydrated in the middle of the day because of the heat and pollution.
  5. I just really want a quick splash of moisture.

I honestly didn’t like the idea of face mists because I think that I use too much of products specially it needs time to get used to (the target practice) avoid spraying it on the hair or ear or behind you missing your face completely 😂 right? To you who is used to face mists, I envy you! I’m still not used to it.

As part of my Althea purchase I bought this face mist called Angel Factory Salt Mist.

Product Claims:

Prevents dust sticking on the face.

Skin soothing.

Natural moisturizing factor.

Whitening effect.

Helps reduce skin irritation.

Ingredients include:

Witch hazel, Mineral salt.

Smell:

It smells refreshing like aloe vera but with floral scent. It’s very light.

Texture:

The texture is the same with water and toners.

Packaging:

It comes in a sturdy hard plastic bottle. I decanted mine.

My experiences

Upside:

  • It did not cause any form of irritation.
  • At first use, it feels itchy on the skin, but as the website said “Due to the osmosis” since it contains salt, but it goes away after a few seconds.
  • It is not drying on the skin.
  • I love how it feels cool on the skin specially on hot weather 👍
  • The smell is refreshing.
  • After spraying this all over the face, my skin feels hydrated 👍
  • Unlike my aloe vera mist, this doesn’t dry out my skin quickly. Because when I use my aloe mist my skin feels really tight after several minutes.
  • It does have a whitening effect.
  • It gave my skin a healthy glow 👍 I did not expect that.

Neutral ground:

  • There is a little tightness around the cheek and forehead area. Not the annoying I need to wash and moisturize my face kind, but just tightens those areas.
  • I love how the packaging is a very hard plastic bottle with a stubborn cap, but it’s not travel friendly specially for those with smalls hands like me.
  • I still have some oil production going on on my nose, but it’s minimal I don’t have the need to blot.

Downside:

  • It went in my eye and it stung haha! 😂 I sprayed too much in one area.
  • It did not help tighten my pores.
  • I kept spraying it everywhere 😂 I need more practice!

USAGE:

I shake mine before using it. After I wash my face, I spray this liberately over my face and neck and I pat it in. I also use this whenever I feel my skin is tight or dry throughout the day.

TIPS:

  1. If you don’t like how the nozzle dispenses, decant it in another spray bottle.
  2. It’s pretty bulky so I suggest to decant it in a smaller spritzer for travelling.
  3. Shake before using.
  4. Don’t spray too much because it might drip down to your eyes like what happened to me haha! 😂
  5. Store it in a cool place to really have that cold refreshing feel.
  6. This is not a setting spray. It’s more of an on the go hydrating and anti-dust mist.
  7. You can also use it as a hydrating toner, make your skin drink what you put on next.

Overall I recommend this product to you if you have no issues with salt on your skin, or you live in a tropical country, or if you need that moisture splash whenever you’re on the go.

For reference:

My skin is combination type, oily T-zone and the sides of the nose and eyelids, enlarged pores, acne-prone, cystic and cluster acne problems, sensitive skin, uneven skin tone.

Have you tried this particular product? Maybe you have tips how you do your target practice? 😂 Share for everyone to know! We noobs need it! Also, let me know if the new format is easier for you to find what you are looking for 🙂 ❤

Thanks so much for stopping by! ❤ Next week is about lips! 👄 👄 👄

Althea Haul

My first Althea haul!

As I was browsing, as usual, I wanted to try to order from Althea Philippines, I’ve been wanting to do this since last year but I never really did order anything from them. Lately they have been having problems with really late shipments so I was hesitant to order from them.

I did went ahead and try because I wanted some facial mists which are kind of hard to find here with a reasonable price. Then I find myself adding some lipsticks lol! It had nice color what can I do? And then I was broke. 😂😂😂

My first experience was great! Shipping time was 9 business days and my stuff arrived well packaged, full of bubble wraps and those pink tissue wrapper thingys that I like so much (except for the fact that it’s pink). Customer assistance was pretty fast with answering too, I was so impressed.

I will be writing about these products soon starting with the Angel Factory Salt Mist. Too bad they don’t have more facial mists that aren’t pricey. I want more facial mists. I’m becoming too addicted with facial mists.

I’ll be using the skin care products for about 2 to 3 months before I write about them to give them time to work (hopefully), and it’s a good thing I made this purchase because I’m all out of serum. I have a lot of stuff on my list to review so these guys will just have to wait hehe 😃

I just wanted to share to you my very first Althea purchase. I hope you enjoyed reading!

Quick Rev: Cosrx Batural BHA Skin Returning A-sol

Hi it’s me again 😆

I’ve been researching about this brand called Cosrx another Korean based brand that makes effective skin care and I came across this (already popular but new to me) product called Natural BHA Skin Returning A-sol and as I read about it, it turns out that it’s a toner that helps;

  1. heal acne and acne scars,
  2. prevents new formation of acne,
  3. increases skin turnover.

I bought this because I feel bad for my sister since we have been trying to solve her skin problem for so long now. I had the same problem as her, but hers won’t go away so I thought I’d get this product and see if it helps the both of us. I showed Aaron a picture of her cheek and he suggested we take her to the hospital because the derma isn’t helping. I didn’t want to freak out my sister more than she already is. So..
We used other korean skin care products and they did help our skin a lot but her acne are too stubborn.

Reusing this picture from my old blog.

Our experiences with this:

My sister’s experience:

  • Non-irritating on the skin
  • Did not feel any burning sensation or itching
  • Her skin started purging after one usage and it kept purging
  • Whiteheads started flaking off after two days of using it. It was funny we were laughing so much
  • Helped remove those pustule acne
  • Smells like rubbing alcohol but disipates right away
  • When it’s dry it feels like there’s a thin plastic film on her skin 😵

My experience:

  • Non-irritating on the skin
  • Did not feel any burning sensation on my pimples
  • It did made them itch though but stopped after several minutes
  • Did not make the rest of my face purge (as of now) except for my nose
  • After first usage whiteheads starts flaking off after the product dried. I thought it was dead skin it was funny
  • Helped my cystic pimple come out and heal after 2 times of usage
  • Smells like rubbing alcohol but dissipates right away
  • Helped the acne scars too

Usage:

This is how we used it. After cleansing, we pump (once for me, twice for her) on our palm and use our fingers to gently spread (Not rubbing) on troubled areas or around the face, then pat it until it’s absorbed and then we wait for 20 minutes before applying another product.

Waiting for it to be fully absorbed is amusing for me. I would see whiteheads coming out and shedding. I don’t know what’s wrong with me but I like looking at that.

After using this twice it healed the cluster of pimples I had and after two or three days of using it my cheeks are almost clear. Aaron was wondering what I did with my face lol 🙂 hi 💙

Also reusing this photo from my old blog.

Since it helps remove impurities deep in the skin I think I will continue to use this for a year and see if my skin becomes clean from impurities after several skin turnovers.

I gotta be honest, mom got mad at me when my sister’s skin started purging she thought her skin was reacting bad to the product, because it kept purging and purging and purging for 8 days.

BHA helps skin turnover and skin turnover happens in one month so you have to wait for a month to see results specially if you have bad case of acne that’s stuck deep in your skin. My sister on the other hand was getting frustrated because of the purging that has been happening. There’re a lot that came out, I think the accumulated dead skin cells and excess sebum plus pollution from the city was so deep in her skin that’s why her acne keeps recurring. I’ll give an update when her skin clears up (because it’s all red acne marks now).

For references:

My sister’s skin is oily, acne-prone, and very sensitive, has bad acne problems.

My skin is combination type, oily t-zone and the sides of the nose and eyelids, enlarged pores, acne-prone, cystic acne problems.

Any thoughts? Tips with application? Share it!

Oh and do you guys wanna see my face? 😁 Might as well if I’m gonna do a before and after of my cosmetics and skin care lol!

Skinfood Peach Sake Toner and Emulsion

Hey hey! How have you guys been? ^_^

Peaches! They smell nice and a good source of vitamins that helps promote healthy skin. Juicy and yummy peaches. This is one of the main ingredients of Skinfood, a brand based in Korea that specializes in skin food 😉😉 and skin care cosmetics, Peach Sake Line that I want to share with you.

They come in a frosted glass bottle in a shape of a sake bottle! and a cardboard and plastic cap. There’s a plastic stopper to keep the product fresh, avoid spills and help lessen contamination.

Product claims:

  • Minimizes the appearance of pores
  • Minimizes shine

Ingredients include:

Peach extract, Sake

Texture:

  • Toner – Clear water. It looks like water.
  • Emulsion – Like watered down cream.

Smell:

It smells like peaches and a faint smell of sake.

Our experience with the product:

My sister’s experience

  • Brightened her skin.
  • Softened her skin.
  • Moisturized her skin well.
  • Her skin did not oil up after using these, but she likes the emulsion better.
  • Did not feel drying even when it’s cold.
  • Did not irritate her skin.
  • Reduced pimple formation when using both products.
  • Great oil control 👍
  • Smells like peaches!

My experience

  • Brightened my skin better than the A’pieu.
  • Helped dry out my pimples but did not prevent breakouts.
  • Moisturized my skin well but a little drying.
  • Didn’t irritate my skin.
  • Reduced the redness of my huge pimples and acne scars.
  • Refreshing peach smell.
  • Softened my skin.
  • It cooled my skin.
  • It did help minimize my enlarged pores specially on the cheek area.

The toner dries out matte, the emulsion dries out velvety and it feels like you didn’t put anything on your skin but it’s moisturized.
Usage:

After cleansing, remove the plastic stopper and dispense a small amount on the palm, rub your palms together then lightly press them on your face and neck. Don’t forget to replace the plastic stopper!

I kinda stopped using this for a couple of weeks along with the emulsion since we travelled to the province and it’s really cold there and I left the bottle, but we used this (a month before travelling) in the morning and did not irritate or darkened our skin even though it has alcohol in the ingredients (probably because it’s sake). And it’s good to use too in humid countries.
For reference:

My sister’s skin is oily, acne-prone, and very sensitive, has bad acne problems.

My skin is combination type, oily t-zone and the sides of the nose and eyelids, enlarged pores, acne-prone, cystic acne problems.

Have you tried this? Any thoughts? Tips and tricks on application? Share it!
