A’pieu Triple Wear Foundation

Hi there! It’s Saturday! It’s going to be about foundation today.

A’pieu has recently released Triple Wear Foundation, and it has 5 shades this time! As I saw that they have a shade in Sand I went ahead and bought one.

Product claims:

Makes sleek skin tone long-lasting while supplying moisture without stickiness.

Smell:
Smells like lotion, kinda like Jergens. I like it.

Texture:
Watery.

Finish:
Powdery, matte finish.

Packaging:
It’s in a frosted glass, black plastic pump and cover. Looks fancy.

My experiences

Upside:

  • It did not cause any irritations whatsoever.
  • I love how the pump dispenses the right amount of product.
  • It did not clog my pores πŸ‘
  • It’s very lightweight πŸ‘
  • It’s buildable and it did not look cakey πŸ‘
  • Wearing by itself it did conceal my dark circles πŸ‘
  • It wasn’t sticky while drying and when it fully dried.
  • It dries pretty quick!
  • Sheer to light coverage when using a foundation brush or a contour face brush I think it’s called.
  • When I used that brush it covered my larger pores on the nose.
  • I used it with a cushion puff and it looks like it has better coverage compared to that brush. But still light coverage. I prefer using this.
  • I really love the soft powdery finish.
  • It doesn’t feel heavy, cakey, annoying after hours of using it.
  • It brightened up my complexion.

Neutral ground:

  • Definitely transferproof πŸ‘ BUT when my nose started producing oil, it transferred.
  • It kind of covered the redness and blemishes around my face a little bit.
  • Smile lines were covered a little.
  • After an hour it looks almost like my skin tone (less white?) so that’s good πŸ‘
  • Using the Beauskin Makeup Base, it feels less drying on the skin and it gives a glow.
  • Since I have really yellow tone, this for some reason looks somewhat ashy on me but it doesn’t look weird.

Downside:

  • It settled on smile lines.
  • It also settled on dry patches.
  • Avoid flash photography! 😣 Since it has a little bit of a white cast. This won’t be a problem though if you blend down your neck and if you don’t have a strong yellow undertone.
  • Using a sponge it didn’t cover the larger pores on my nose.
  • It has a little pink tone to it.
  • It slides around on oily nose.
  • It made it look like my skin is so dry.

Let’s try to cover those stains left from the lip stains.

POV from Aaron:
No it doesn’t look too white, it looks nice.
I can see where you didn’t apply it (around the lips)

Used with a dampened sponge:

  • It was a little easier to blend.
  • Did not clog my pores.
  • It didn’t hide the bigger pores on my nose.
  • It accentuated my whiteheads πŸ™
  • For some reason it made my skin look like it was really dry πŸ™
  • It did feel a little dry
  • I used a primer on one side of my face to hide the pores. With or without primer it has the same results.
  • Larger pores aren’t covered πŸ™
  • Application with sponge or cushion puff is better than brush because the brush leaves brush strokes.

Oil Control:
🍺Worn alone – 4 hours and there was a little oil on the nose. But makeup is still there.

🍻Worn with Beauskin Makeup Base – 6 hours until my nose was oily.

APPLICATION:

  • Make sure to shake it well before using.
  • Pump and dot on the face and then blend with a brush or a sponge or a cushion puff. Your fingers of you want.

REMOVAL:

  • I recommend using make-up wipes or waterproof makeup remover for this product.
  • Afterwards use a micellar water to really make sure that there isn’t any left.
  • Then wash your face with your cleanser.
  • OR just use an oil to foam facial cleanser.

TIPS:

  1. Make sure to use a hydrating cream before using this product.
  2. Do not disturb it before it dries and settles.
  3. Work in sections because it dries fast.
  4. For better finish don’t use too much on one go. Build thin layers of it.
  5. Use a luminizing or hydrating base when using this product.
  6. Use a pore filling primer.
  7. For the peeps out there with large pores like me, use a pore blurring powder after.

Well I don’t exactly hate it, but I don’t really love it because of the pink tinge in it. It makes my face look white and a little ashy. I was expecting a little more yellow tone on this since it’s the darkest shade, but then this is the first time A’pieu released 5 foundation shades so let’s forgive them.

For reference:

My skin is combination type, sensitive, oily T-zone and the sides of the nose and eyelids, enlarged pores, acne-prone, cystic and cluster acne problems, acne scars, uneven skin tone, redness, dehydrated skin.

That’s it for today! I hope you found something helpful here πŸ™‚ What are your thoughts about this product? Share them down the comments! ❀

Thank you for stopping by!

Lebaton Color Fit Lipstick

Hey there! It’s Saturday again. And I have another exciting product to share about to you today. This is a quick read.

As part of my Althea Haul, this is the lipstick πŸ‘„ that I was talking about getting mixed in the skin care bunch.

This cute cute product is Called Color Fit Lipstick by Lebaton.

P_20170715_071901

Product claims:

Soft silky light texture.

Semi-matte lipstick with soft and moist finish.

Packaging:

It comes in a pink, square, hard plastic, the inside of the bullet is black. So awesome.

Smell:

Smells like crayon and oil at first but then it turns out it smells like those pink gummy candies.

Texture:

Creamy. It glides on smoothly on hydrated lips.

Finish:

Semi-matte, powdery.

My experiences

Upside:

  • It glides on smoothly on hydrated lips.
  • It has very good pigmentation.
  • Can be used as a form of liptint.
  • It had a hydrating effect on the lips so my lips didn’t feel dry after application but it also doesn’t feel too creamy πŸ‘
  • It didn’t bleed, chapped, cracked, or sat on the fine lines πŸ‘
  • 2-3 swipes gave it a really vivid color.
  • It still leaves color on the lips even after coffee.

Neutral ground:

  • Even though it’s kinda like a hot pink packaging, I like it cause the inside is black πŸ˜‚
  • I don’t like the smell, but it dissipates after a while.
  • Smell dissipated after application on the lips.

Downside:

  • My mom used this on her chapped lips and it accentuated the cracks πŸ‘Ž
  • It transfers even after blotting πŸ‘Ž

P_20170715_072057

TIPS:

  1. Before using, make sure to hydrate/moisturize your lips.
  2. Use it straight from the bullet, glide it on your pucker.
  3. For a stain effect, after one swipe blot your lips then do another layer then blot again.
  4. If you have discoloration, apply a lip concealer first.

For me it was a little pricey, but I like the color. Not the smell though. So, thanks so much for stopping by! Next week: Body wash! πŸŽ‰

Althea Haul

My first Althea haul!

As I was browsing, as usual, I wanted to try to order from Althea Philippines, I’ve been wanting to do this since last year but I never really did order anything from them. Lately they have been having problems with really late shipments so I was hesitant to order from them.

I did went ahead and try because I wanted some facial mists which are kind of hard to find here with a reasonable price. Then I find myself adding some lipsticks lol! It had nice color what can I do? And then I was broke. πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

My first experience was great! Shipping time was 9 business days and my stuff arrived well packaged, full of bubble wraps and those pink tissue wrapper thingys that I like so much (except for the fact that it’s pink). Customer assistance was pretty fast with answering too, I was so impressed.

I will be writing about these products soon starting with the Angel Factory Salt Mist. Too bad they don’t have more facial mists that aren’t pricey. I want more facial mists. I’m becoming too addicted with facial mists.

I’ll be using the skin care products for about 2 to 3 months before I write about them to give them time to work (hopefully), and it’s a good thing I made this purchase because I’m all out of serum. I have a lot of stuff on my list to review so these guys will just have to wait hehe πŸ˜ƒ

I just wanted to share to you my very first Althea purchase. I hope you enjoyed reading!

My Typical Face Makeup When I Go Out

Hi everyone! 🐈

Today I want to share about my “I’m going out to chill” face makeup. There aren’t many steps, but for a girl who doesn’t do makeup that much I think it’ll suffice.

Why do I wear makeup?

  1. I found out that when I have a layer of foundation on, the pollution outside does not freak out my skin a lot and it helps me kinda like having a protective film on my skin.
  2. People are a lot nicer to me when my skin looks nice. It’s so sad 😞 but when I put on face makeup and conceal my redness and other blemishes people outside are nicer to me compared to when I don’t wear anything on my face. 😭
  3. It gives me a layer of SPF.
  4. It hides the discolored parts of my lips.
  5. I look awake lol! πŸ˜‚
  6. It helps me to stop touching my face so much. Less face touching = less skin irritations.
  7. It gives me a hydrating layer.
  8. It evens out my skin tone.
  9. It makes it look like I have nice eyes lol!
  10. Less face oil!

Okay so I have to stop ranting. Anyway let’s go to the real topic.

Products that I use for my everyday makeup:

Skin Care First

Of course taking care and making sure my skin is moisturized is the first part. Treatment toner for the pimples, Hyaluronic toner for hydration, and sometimes moisturizer hehe πŸ˜›

When I’m not lazy, I put on makeup base. But I’ve been using my sunblock everytime I go out.

For my really lazy and I don’t have time for blending days I go with my Catrice Nude Glow Primer. And for my not so lazy days I go for my yummy Beauskin Berry Pink Makeup Base (Check it out here) for a more toned up complexion πŸ˜ŠπŸ‘ I should also add my multi-purpose sunblock Fascy Tina Sunblock (Review here). But to be honest I usually just use my sunblock.

Either a cushion foundation or a liquid one

Depedns on what I grab blindly, A liquid foundation: Beauskin Poreless Foundation (Review Here), The Face Shop Cushion Foundation, Laneige Pore Control Cushion (Review Here), or my Maybelline Dream Satin Skin.

Concealer

I love using this concealer as it’s lightweight and it does its job. (Review Here)

Sometimes eye shadow. Just to add a little color 😝

I do use my Makeup Revolution Blush Palette as eyeshadow more than using it as a blush. The BeautyTreats have good color payoff, but I kind of find it hard to blend sometimes. Reviews for these soon!

Skinfood Peach Sake Silky Finish Powder
Skinfood Peach Sake Silky Finish Powder

This is my favorite powder ever, it blurs out pores and gives a healthy glowing look. (Review Here)

To clean my brow and lashes

I like this tissue it’s multipurpose. I carry a piece with me to blot my face too. The cotton squares I would usually use that to clean my brush or my brow and lashes with some micellar water.

Either lipstick, liptint, both, or just my lipbalm. I’m not picky 😁

The redness on my cheeks peeks through the sheer cover of foundation and the liptint’s color makes the redness appear more so I go with that haha!

I don’t really aim for flawless looking face/skin makeup, just enough to make myself look a little more presentable I guess. Cover this and that πŸ˜… but seriously, when I don’t feel like it I just use my skin care and then sunblock and lipbalm and go πŸ˜‚

So that’s it πŸ˜ƒ thank you for stopping by!

What do you think? Any thoughts and tips? What’s your lazy/daily routine? Share them down the comments!

Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Concealer

Hi there! This is a quick read 😸

You know how one day you wake up and you suddenly have dark circles that were never there before, but now they’re there and they make you look pissed off, or tired? That’s how it started for me (though I’ve been told that my resting face is already intimidating). The thing is my right eye has a darker circle than the left so sometimes I look like I have a black eye lol! πŸ˜‚

While browsing online I remember the tutorials that I watched before and thought Might as well try. Took me about 3-4 days of comparing the shades online. I ended up with medium just to be safe.

Packaging:
It comes in a hard plastic, narrow cylinder. The top is the sponge/puff applicator and the red rim is what you twist to get the product up and out.

Smell:
Smells like concealer. It reminds me of my L’oreal superblendable comcealer.

Texture:
Creamy consistency.

My experiences:

πŸ™The applicator puff:

  • It didn’t cause any irritations on my skin, but it made my lash line itchy.
  • It’s so soft. It reminds me of those flowers I used to pick when I was a kid.
  • It took 70 clicks before the product got to the top (I counted).
  • It smells like concealer.
  • It didn’t scratch my skin.
  • It’s not exactly fluffy, it’s like fine ends of the hair.

πŸ¦€The product itself:

  • It did not cause any skin or lash line irritations.
  • Lightweight but creamy.
  • It doesn’t have a smell at all. Weird but the applicator puff does.
  • It brightened my panda eyes.
  • Oh it has a cooling effect. When I touch the places where the concealer are it feels so cool.
  • I used it sparingly and it did a good job with brightening and covering up the area on one eye but I think I’ll use the neutralizer first on the other eye. I have a panda eye. Just one eye. 😐
  • I went back and dabbed some more just a little and it almost covered the vein there. But it faded.
  • It did not settle into fine lines.
  • It did not become oily even though my face has become oily due to the weather.
  • I was sweating a lot but it did not budge and the cooling effect stayed.
  • It did not crease, even on my eyelids.
  • It did reduce the puffiness a tiny bit only, but that still made a difference.
  • It brightened up my face. So it has coverage and brightening effect for me. Seriously I looked like I was wide awake from too much coffee haha!
  • I tried taking pictures with flash, it had a small white cast look.

I actually don’t have any complaints with this concealer. Exception are the sponge applicator, it made my lash line itchy and the fact that it had a small amount of white cast with flash photography. Mind you I used this by itself to test it out.

🐌With foundation:

  1. Cushion foundation – really nice brightening effect, I have mixed feelings about how it blends with my cushion foundation as it does not adhear as well. I still like it though.
  2. Beauskin Invisible Pores – there was a little fading that went on, but it covered what it needs to, blended easily, and the brightening effect is good (not as showy as with cushion foundation).

ATTENTION! THERE ARE FAKES OF THIS. Well all popular products have fake counterparts.

Maybe I should get one so I can show you comparisons of how it looks like physically and the smell, etc.?

If you have tried this, and you have tricks and tips or you have any thoughts about it, share it!

Thank you so much for stopping by! Next week is about how I prep my skin before makeup application!

Beauskin Misaekyeon Invisible Pore Facial Foundation

Hi all! πŸ‘‹

Today my post will be all about this amazing foundation. It is a bit long 😌 because I tested it in different ways for 3 months.

I was browsing an online mall last March and I saw this product, and it looked cool and fancy, it had great reviews and I thought “Hey. Why not try this one? Might help with your enlarged pores. Might help your sister too.” (I actually talk to myself like that πŸ˜“) so I went ahead and bought it along with a night cream but of different brand.

Beauskin and they produce functional cosmetics at affordable prices. I haven’t tried their gold infused skin care line, but from what I read they’re pretty darn good.

Beauskin Invisible Pores Facial Foundation

Product claims:

It applies on the skin like a silk so it naturally covers the fine lines and pores and the make-up lasts for a long time.

Smell:
Smells faintly of olive oil.

Texture
:
Liquid. Very lightweight.

Ingredients include:
Avocado oil and Olive oil.

I used this in five (5) different ways to test how good it is, its ability to blur pores, and it’s longevity. And for this I shall put my pictures for your entertainment! (Please be gentle with me I know my skin is not in good condition.)

P.S. I don’t use any eyebrow stuff, I know a lot of you likes your eyebrows all neat and done, but I’m just lazy so yeah..

My experiences:

Used on bare skin, finished with SF Silky Finish Powder:

  • No irritations.
  • It did not clog my pores.
  • Pore blurring is, of course, awesome.
  • My skin looked even. My boyfriend thought I did some magic with my skin then took a wild guess if I was wearing foundation lol!
  • The finish is dewy.
  • It still felt a little oily. I think this is because of the olive oil and avocado oil.
  • It did transfer sadly.
  • It did not fade or disappear.
  • The redness on my cheeks were covered, but still shown through.
  • My nose was shiny after 2 and a half hours.
  • No white cast, except for the parts that I didn’t blend well.
  • It almost covered my dark circles.
  • It didn’t do much with my deep acne scars.
Using Beauskin Invisible Pores in shade 33 with Skinfood Silky Finish Powder and A’pieu Liptint

On skin after AIO skin care, finished with Sf Silky Finish Powder:

  • It felt a little tacky.
  • No irritations at all.
  • It did not clog my pores.
  • Adherance to the skin was okay.
  • My nose was shiny after 3 hours, but after blotting it looked like I had fresh makeup on.
  • Enlarged pores around my nose were blurred. It did a great job.
  • It was dark at first, but it melts in my skin after blending, evening out my tone. That was so awesome πŸ‘
  • Finish is powdery. But I don’t know it was a little tacky. Like oily. Probably because of the Olive oil.
  • It transfers specially when sweating too much.
  • My nose is the only exception to the oilyness.

After Fascy Tina Sunblock, finished with SF Silky Finish Powder:

  • No irritations or clogged pores.
  • I blotted my face with a tissue paper because it felt tacky. There was transferance. And then I used my SF finish powder.
  • After 4 hours my nose was oily.
  • Pore blurring is awesome!
  • Skin evening is amazing I can’t believe it.
  • Sweating too much, it transferred when blotting my face with a tissue square, but it didn’t rub off or disappeared.

Using the Beauskin Makeup Base before, and SF Powder to finish:

  • No irritations, redness, or clogged pores.
  • My nose oiled up after 2 and a half hours, but a little blotting with a tissue helps a lot.
  • It did not fade nor rubbed off.
  • The makeup base made it easy to have a sheer coverage as it evens out (our) skin tone. We used this base under cushion foundations during the wedding.
  • Blurred out all my pores even better!
  • Dewy, healthy glow finish OMG! 😱
  • There is no tacky feel or even a tad bit oily feel.
  • With the base on, it made it look like my skin is almost almost flawless. I bet it’ll look flawless if I built it up to medium-full coverage, but I never have the guts or conciousness to do so. I always end up doing a sheer one.
  • It helped blur my fine lines, smile lines.
  • The redness on my cheeks are almost covered.
  • Dark circles are also covered, but if you want the really flawless no eyebag look I’d suggest using a concealer.
  • My skin feels firm, but hydrated. 😡
  • I just love how the base evens out my skin and gives it that glow.
  • I used sheer coverage, 2 pumps for the entire face and neck.
  • I find that it’s a little oily when applied. I used my cushion puff for application and blending.
  • It’s transition weather from summer to rainy season, maybe that’s why my skin is acting up with oil. Or probably it’s the olive and avocado oils in the product.
  • After 6 hours my skin still looked amazing.
Before and After. Using Beauskin Invisible Pores Foundation

NOTE: All pictures are taken in natural lighting. However in this picture, the right side, is taken while I was already outside.

Using Catrice Nude Glow Primer before, and SF Peach Sake Powder after:

  • The enlarged pores around my nose are are well covered, I would say better than the makeup base.
  • It did not react badly with the foundation.
  • The primer, sadly, clogged some of my enlarged pores πŸ™
  • My skin looked so smooth and flawless 😱
  • Before powdering, it looked so dewy.
  • It gave the impression of a subtle natural glow after the powder.
  • The oils in the foundation came out after 3 hours so I blotted my face, and I looked like I had fresh makeup on again.
  • It covered my redness very well πŸ‘
  • This primer made my skin tone a shade lighter. I have mixed feelings about this.
  • I used this without the powder and the “oiliness” of my face turned out to be the Avocado oil from the foundation, not my natural oils.
  • It had minimal transferring πŸ‘ I did enjoy the smell though 😁
  • The primer didn’t help my concealer though, I don’t know why but it creased on my eyelids. But! It made the concealer really stick to the foundation.

USAGE:

Pump once and dot it all over the face and quickly but gently spread it along the texture of the skin, and blend it well. Small downward strokes for the ladies with peach fuzz. Then another pump for the entire neck and chest.

BLEND! BLEND! BLEND SOME MORE!

TIPS
:

  1. Shake the product before using. Just to make sure the pigment is well distributed.
  2. Don’t use too much in the first application. Layer it in thin, well blended applications to build up coverage.
  3. Let it set for a minute before powdering.
  4. Blot after application before dusting with powder.
  5. If using a cushion puff or sponge, spread it on skin before tapping and blending. It makes the larger pores disappear.
  6. If you use your fingers for application instead, do so by working on small parts one at a time so you won’t look uneven.
  7. Use gentle downward strokes specially if, you’re like me, you have peach fuzz.

If you are opting for that no-makeup makeup look with awesome looking, poreless, even skin, I recommend this product. For some reason the avocado oil leaves a thin film of oil on my skin, this doesn’t exactly bother me, but some of you might not like it if it happens to you too.

For reference:

My skin is combination type, oily T-zone and the sides of the nose and eyelids, enlarged pores, acne-prone, cystic and cluster acne problems. Uneven skin tone.

If you have any thoughts, special tricks on how you apply this particular brand, questions or anything else, let everyone know in the comments!

Thank you so much for stopping by! Next week will be about Maybelline Age Rewind Concealer. I know, I know I’m decades too late lol but hey I’m new to this makeup stuff.

Skinfood Peach Sake Silky Finish Powder

What a mouthful haha!

SkinfoodΒ is a company from Korea that has been around for a decade manufacturing skin food and cosmetics. They have different lines of products and one of them are theΒ Peach SakeΒ line which isΒ allΒ about pore minimizing and sebum control.

You get 15 grams of clear powder in a plastic cylinder covered with a cardboard cover with a small hole on top so when you open it it won’t suck the powder up and create a mess and it comes with a very sturdy and oh so soft puff with it. The tub is big compared to the amount of product in it that fills only 2/3. That said, it isn’t travel friendly so I put mine in a small container and blocked the other holes in it so it won’t be messy and I can save more product ^_^

Product claims:

  • Gives silky finish
  • Controls sebum
  • Blurs out pores

HOW TO APPLY:
Use either the puff that comes with it or use a powder brush to have better control on picking up the product.

Can be used:
By itself for a more natural healthy glow or as a sebum control and set your makeup with and still get that natural healthy glow anyway. Use on the whole face or only on the oily parts of your skin.

Texture:
Extremly finely milled. It’s like it’s not there. It does feel silky on the skin.

Smell:
This has a mild refreshing peach smell! ❀

Finish:
It gives this natural glowy dewy look on the skin, like a well blended out hint of highlighter πŸ‘

Longevity:
I haven’t tried using this by itself, but I do use this as sebum control after my bb cream. It helped cool down my skin and even though I was sweating so much from commuting, it helped my bb cream stay in place.

Note: it doesn’t show white cast with flash photography if used sparingly.

Sebum control:
It took 4 hours before I noticed small amounts of oil on my nose and around 10 hours before I had to blot with tissue paper, but by that time I’m already home and I was amazed when I blotted my face it looked like I had fresh makeup on! πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘ Don’t mistake the subtle healthy glow it gives you as oil BTW lol it happened to me a lot of times!πŸ˜‚

I tried using this right after the bb cream, few minutes letting the bb cream settle, and when i was starting to feel sweat because it was too hot that day.

  1. Right afterΒ – the oil control had a 10 hour power!
  2. Few minutes after bb creamΒ – 6 hours before the oilyness came and needed to blot.
  3. Pre-sweatΒ – 3 hours and I was oiling up 😐

My sisters like how it feels on their skin and it didn’t irritate their skin even though one of my sisters has a really bad case of acne and she said it helped cool her skin. However, it didn’t really help with blurring out my enlarged pores so much, but I am very happy with this product! I always use this now πŸ˜†

It’s expensive though, but since I have been using this for over six months now and I’m pretty sure I only used a small amount of grams off of it, it is worth it.

Have you tried this? Any thoughts or some tricks and tips about the application? Let me know! ^_^

*Next week will be a long post because I’ve tested it for a few months with different products*
