Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Concealer

Hi there! This is a quick read ๐Ÿ˜ธ

You know how one day you wake up and you suddenly have dark circles that were never there before, but now they’re there and they make you look pissed off, or tired? That’s how it started for me (though I’ve been told that my resting face is already intimidating). The thing is my right eye has a darker circle than the left so sometimes I look like I have a black eye lol! ๐Ÿ˜‚

While browsing online I remember the tutorials that I watched before and thought Might as well try. Took me about 3-4 days of comparing the shades online. I ended up with medium just to be safe.

Packaging:
It comes in a hard plastic, narrow cylinder. The top is the sponge/puff applicator and the red rim is what you twist to get the product up and out.

Smell:
Smells like concealer. It reminds me of my L’oreal superblendable comcealer.

Texture:
Creamy consistency.

My experiences:

๐Ÿ™The applicator puff:

  • It didn’t cause any irritations on my skin, but it made my lash line itchy.
  • It’s so soft. It reminds me of those flowers I used to pick when I was a kid.
  • It took 70 clicks before the product got to the top (I counted).
  • It smells like concealer.
  • It didn’t scratch my skin.
  • It’s not exactly fluffy, it’s like fine ends of the hair.

๐Ÿฆ€The product itself:

  • It did not cause any skin or lash line irritations.
  • Lightweight but creamy.
  • It doesn’t have a smell at all. Weird but the applicator puff does.
  • It brightened my panda eyes.
  • Oh it has a cooling effect. When I touch the places where the concealer are it feels so cool.
  • I used it sparingly and it did a good job with brightening and covering up the area on one eye but I think I’ll use the neutralizer first on the other eye. I have a panda eye. Just one eye. ๐Ÿ˜
  • I went back and dabbed some more just a little and it almost covered the vein there. But it faded.
  • It did not settle into fine lines.
  • It did not become oily even though my face has become oily due to the weather.
  • I was sweating a lot but it did not budge and the cooling effect stayed.
  • It did not crease, even on my eyelids.
  • It did reduce the puffiness a tiny bit only, but that still made a difference.
  • It brightened up my face. So it has coverage and brightening effect for me. Seriously I looked like I was wide awake from too much coffee haha!
  • I tried taking pictures with flash, it had a small white cast look.

I actually don’t have any complaints with this concealer. Exception are the sponge applicator, it made my lash line itchy and the fact that it had a small amount of white cast with flash photography. Mind you I used this by itself to test it out.

๐ŸŒWith foundation:

  1. Cushion foundation – really nice brightening effect, I have mixed feelings about how it blends with my cushion foundation as it does not adhear as well. I still like it though.
  2. Beauskin Invisible Pores – there was a little fading that went on, but it covered what it needs to, blended easily, and the brightening effect is good (not as showy as with cushion foundation).

ATTENTION! THERE ARE FAKES OF THIS. Well all popular products have fake counterparts.

Maybe I should get one so I can show you comparisons of how it looks like physically and the smell, etc.?

If you have tried this, and you have tricks and tips or you have any thoughts about it, share it!

Thank you so much for stopping by! Next week is about how I prep my skin before makeup application!

Beauskin Misaekyeon Invisible Pore Facial Foundation

Hi all! ๐Ÿ‘‹

Today my post will be all about this amazing foundation. It is a bit long ๐Ÿ˜Œ because I tested it in different ways for 3 months.

I was browsing an online mall last March and I saw this product, and it looked cool and fancy, it had great reviews and I thought “Hey. Why not try this one? Might help with your enlarged pores. Might help your sister too.” (I actually talk to myself like that ๐Ÿ˜“) so I went ahead and bought it along with a night cream but of different brand.

Beauskin and they produce functional cosmetics at affordable prices. I haven’t tried their gold infused skin care line, but from what I read they’re pretty darn good.

Beauskin Invisible Pores Facial Foundation

Product claims:

It applies on the skin like a silk so it naturally covers the fine lines and pores and the make-up lasts for a long time.

Smell:
Smells faintly of olive oil.

Texture
:
Liquid. Very lightweight.

Ingredients include:
Avocado oil and Olive oil.

I used this in five (5) different ways to test how good it is, its ability to blur pores, and it’s longevity. And for this I shall put my pictures for your entertainment! (Please be gentle with me I know my skin is not in good condition.)

P.S. I don’t use any eyebrow stuff, I know a lot of you likes your eyebrows all neat and done, but I’m just lazy so yeah..

My experiences:

Used on bare skin, finished with SF Silky Finish Powder:

  • No irritations.
  • It did not clog my pores.
  • Pore blurring is, of course, awesome.
  • My skin looked even. My boyfriend thought I did some magic with my skin then took a wild guess if I was wearing foundation lol!
  • The finish is dewy.
  • It still felt a little oily. I think this is because of the olive oil and avocado oil.
  • It did transfer sadly.
  • It did not fade or disappear.
  • The redness on my cheeks were covered, but still shown through.
  • My nose was shiny after 2 and a half hours.
  • No white cast, except for the parts that I didn’t blend well.
  • It almost covered my dark circles.
  • It didn’t do much with my deep acne scars.
Using Beauskin Invisible Pores in shade 33 with Skinfood Silky Finish Powder and A’pieu Liptint

On skin after AIO skin care, finished with Sf Silky Finish Powder:

  • It felt a little tacky.
  • No irritations at all.
  • It did not clog my pores.
  • Adherance to the skin was okay.
  • My nose was shiny after 3 hours, but after blotting it looked like I had fresh makeup on.
  • Enlarged pores around my nose were blurred. It did a great job.
  • It was dark at first, but it melts in my skin after blending, evening out my tone. That was so awesome ๐Ÿ‘
  • Finish is powdery. But I don’t know it was a little tacky. Like oily. Probably because of the Olive oil.
  • It transfers specially when sweating too much.
  • My nose is the only exception to the oilyness.

After Fascy Tina Sunblock, finished with SF Silky Finish Powder:

  • No irritations or clogged pores.
  • I blotted my face with a tissue paper because it felt tacky. There was transferance. And then I used my SF finish powder.
  • After 4 hours my nose was oily.
  • Pore blurring is awesome!
  • Skin evening is amazing I can’t believe it.
  • Sweating too much, it transferred when blotting my face with a tissue square, but it didn’t rub off or disappeared.

Using the Beauskin Makeup Base before, and SF Powder to finish:

  • No irritations, redness, or clogged pores.
  • My nose oiled up after 2 and a half hours, but a little blotting with a tissue helps a lot.
  • It did not fade nor rubbed off.
  • The makeup base made it easy to have a sheer coverage as it evens out (our) skin tone. We used this base under cushion foundations during the wedding.
  • Blurred out all my pores even better!
  • Dewy, healthy glow finish OMG! ๐Ÿ˜ฑ
  • There is no tacky feel or even a tad bit oily feel.
  • With the base on, it made it look like my skin is almost almost flawless. I bet it’ll look flawless if I built it up to medium-full coverage, but I never have the guts or conciousness to do so. I always end up doing a sheer one.
  • It helped blur my fine lines, smile lines.
  • The redness on my cheeks are almost covered.
  • Dark circles are also covered, but if you want the really flawless no eyebag look I’d suggest using a concealer.
  • My skin feels firm, but hydrated. ๐Ÿ˜ต
  • I just love how the base evens out my skin and gives it that glow.
  • I used sheer coverage, 2 pumps for the entire face and neck.
  • I find that it’s a little oily when applied. I used my cushion puff for application and blending.
  • It’s transition weather from summer to rainy season, maybe that’s why my skin is acting up with oil. Or probably it’s the olive and avocado oils in the product.
  • After 6 hours my skin still looked amazing.
Before and After. Using Beauskin Invisible Pores Foundation

NOTE: All pictures are taken in natural lighting. However in this picture, the right side, is taken while I was already outside.

Using Catrice Nude Glow Primer before, and SF Peach Sake Powder after:

  • The enlarged pores around my nose are are well covered, I would say better than the makeup base.
  • It did not react badly with the foundation.
  • The primer, sadly, clogged some of my enlarged pores ๐Ÿ™
  • My skin looked so smooth and flawless ๐Ÿ˜ฑ
  • Before powdering, it looked so dewy.
  • It gave the impression of a subtle natural glow after the powder.
  • The oils in the foundation came out after 3 hours so I blotted my face, and I looked like I had fresh makeup on again.
  • It covered my redness very well ๐Ÿ‘
  • This primer made my skin tone a shade lighter. I have mixed feelings about this.
  • I used this without the powder and the “oiliness” of my face turned out to be the Avocado oil from the foundation, not my natural oils.
  • It had minimal transferring ๐Ÿ‘ I did enjoy the smell though ๐Ÿ˜
  • The primer didn’t help my concealer though, I don’t know why but it creased on my eyelids. But! It made the concealer really stick to the foundation.

USAGE:

Pump once and dot it all over the face and quickly but gently spread it along the texture of the skin, and blend it well. Small downward strokes for the ladies with peach fuzz. Then another pump for the entire neck and chest.

BLEND! BLEND! BLEND SOME MORE!

TIPS
:

  1. Shake the product before using. Just to make sure the pigment is well distributed.
  2. Don’t use too much in the first application. Layer it in thin, well blended applications to build up coverage.
  3. Let it set for a minute before powdering.
  4. Blot after application before dusting with powder.
  5. If using a cushion puff or sponge, spread it on skin before tapping and blending. It makes the larger pores disappear.
  6. If you use your fingers for application instead, do so by working on small parts one at a time so you won’t look uneven.
  7. Use gentle downward strokes specially if, you’re like me, you have peach fuzz.

If you are opting for that no-makeup makeup look with awesome looking, poreless, even skin, I recommend this product. For some reason the avocado oil leaves a thin film of oil on my skin, this doesn’t exactly bother me, but some of you might not like it if it happens to you too.

For reference:

My skin is combination type, oily T-zone and the sides of the nose and eyelids, enlarged pores, acne-prone, cystic and cluster acne problems. Uneven skin tone.

If you have any thoughts, special tricks on how you apply this particular brand, questions or anything else, let everyone know in the comments!

Thank you so much for stopping by! Next week will be about Maybelline Age Rewind Concealer. I know, I know I’m decades too late lol but hey I’m new to this makeup stuff.

Skinfood Peach Sake Silky Finish Powder

What a mouthful haha!

Skinfoodย is a company from Korea that has been around for a decade manufacturing skin food and cosmetics. They have different lines of products and one of them are theย Peach Sakeย line which isย allย about pore minimizing and sebum control.

You get 15 grams of clear powder in a plastic cylinder covered with a cardboard cover with a small hole on top so when you open it it won’t suck the powder up and create a mess and it comes with a very sturdy and oh so soft puff with it. The tub is big compared to the amount of product in it that fills only 2/3. That said, it isn’t travel friendly so I put mine in a small container and blocked the other holes in it so it won’t be messy and I can save more product ^_^

Product claims:

  • Gives silky finish
  • Controls sebum
  • Blurs out pores

HOW TO APPLY:
Use either the puff that comes with it or use a powder brush to have better control on picking up the product.

Can be used:
By itself for a more natural healthy glow or as a sebum control and set your makeup with and still get that natural healthy glow anyway. Use on the whole face or only on the oily parts of your skin.

Texture:
Extremly finely milled. It’s like it’s not there. It does feel silky on the skin.

Smell:
This has a mild refreshing peach smell! โค

Finish:
It gives this natural glowy dewy look on the skin, like a well blended out hint of highlighter ๐Ÿ‘

Longevity:
I haven’t tried using this by itself, but I do use this as sebum control after my bb cream. It helped cool down my skin and even though I was sweating so much from commuting, it helped my bb cream stay in place.

Note: it doesn’t show white cast with flash photography if used sparingly.

Sebum control:
It took 4 hours before I noticed small amounts of oil on my nose and around 10 hours before I had to blot with tissue paper, but by that time I’m already home and I was amazed when I blotted my face it looked like I had fresh makeup on! ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘ Don’t mistake the subtle healthy glow it gives you as oil BTW lol it happened to me a lot of times!๐Ÿ˜‚

I tried using this right after the bb cream, few minutes letting the bb cream settle, and when i was starting to feel sweat because it was too hot that day.

  1. Right afterย – the oil control had a 10 hour power!
  2. Few minutes after bb creamย – 6 hours before the oilyness came and needed to blot.
  3. Pre-sweatย – 3 hours and I was oiling up ๐Ÿ˜

My sisters like how it feels on their skin and it didn’t irritate their skin even though one of my sisters has a really bad case of acne and she said it helped cool her skin. However, it didn’t really help with blurring out my enlarged pores so much, but I am very happy with this product! I always use this now ๐Ÿ˜†

It’s expensive though, but since I have been using this for over six months now and I’m pretty sure I only used a small amount of grams off of it, it is worth it.

Have you tried this? Any thoughts or some tricks and tips about the application? Let me know! ^_^

*Next week will be a long post because I’ve tested it for a few months with different products*

Beauskin Misaekyeon Lovely Shimmer Facial Make-up in Berry Pink

Hey everyone! ๐Ÿ‘‹๐Ÿ˜ It’s me again.

I came across this product last summer and thought it might be nice to, you know, help even out my skin and even out our (my sisters and I) skin tone. I read that it’s a makeup base, with vitamins A, C and E with lots of other skin goodies and that it also helps with redness.

So there are 2 colors: Alice Green and Berry Pink.

It was a little hard getting some info about this product, but I found the website and it says that Alice Green is for Lighter skin, whereas Berry Pink is for a little darker, yellow skin tone. When I asked the seller she was like “Green is for darker skin tone” ๐Ÿ˜ well I took the website’s advice.

Product claims:

Products available to help women better. And ready for you to stand out and everyone must be jealous.

Best combination of vitamins and minerals found in nature. Makeup base with vitamins and minerals found in nature.

The shine on the face. And also absorb into the skin quickly, making your skin and luster of pearl makeup.

It also mixed particles of minerals and vitamins. That makes the skin look radiant and good flexibility.

Best combination of vitamins and minerals found in nature.
Lets face glow and sparkle. Lets face look shiny and bounce typical Korean.

Before applying make-up it will allow a smooth shine sparkling light. And diffuse light to look luscious colors. It also contains extracts of vitamins in plant species. Both pretty and well nourished in one.

Packaging:
It comes in a fancy looking frosted glass, pump bottle.

Smell:
There was a faint berry, chemical-ish smell. Kinda sour. But dissipates after.

Texture:
Between creamy and fluid. There’s a bit of shimmer in it.

Quick background:

I have 3 sisters. Our skin ranges from:

  1. Cystic and cluster acne problems
  2. Combination skin
  3. Oily and sensitive skin
  4. Dry and flaky skin

So that being said, I want my sisters’ skin to look great specially at big events. One of them has really bad case of acne and scarring and rosacea all over her face. I want her to look confident and feel good about her skin that’s why almost all the products we use are based on my skin and her skin. Also I’m helping her with her acne problems.

Taken in natural light.

Tadaaaaa! This is my face. My skin is not so good. And as you can see my face is darker than my neck and chest. This photo is taken more recently than the next photos.

Our experiences:

  • No irritations and it did not clog our pores.
  • There were fine shimmer particles (the pearl powder).
  • We didn‘t need a green corrector when we used this makeup base as it brightened and seriously evened out our skin. ๐Ÿ‘
  • The redness on our cheeks from veins and acne vanished. ๐Ÿ˜ฒ Well, not quite, but hey it made it look like we were wearing a blush.
  • No white cast when using flash photography. ๐Ÿ‘
  • My face did not oil up. At all.
  • My sisters and I used this for our cousin’s wedding, given that it was cold there, we didn‘t experience dryness, oiliness, flaking. ๐Ÿ‘
  • A great makeup base! I was touching my face too much, but my foundation did not transfer at all.
  • We used cushion foundations over it. Laneige and The Face Shop cushion foundations, depends on the tan of the skin.
  • No patchyness. At all.
  • When we were applying this, the house was hot and humid. We made sure to apply this while our skin was still fresh, not yet sweating.
  • After sweating, there was transferance when blotting with a tissue paper, but no oiliness.
  • Angel has a bad case of acne and her skin was red and scarred and oily. After using this it looked like she had minimal skin problems. ๐Ÿ‘ I also applied this on her back as she is suffering acne there too. Although she kept touching her cheek and some of the makeup came off.
  • There’s this soft focus going on when taking pictures.
  • It blurred the fine lines and enlarged pores.
  • Alex has dry skin. When she used this she didn‘t complain of dryness or any tightย feeling on her skin.
  • Hannah loved it so much because she felt that her skin is now bright and even. Whiter and glowing.
  • I spread this product on their back, chest area, and shoulders. It didn’t transfer and it made it look like they have nice glowing skin.
  • Our foundation didn’t budge. No disappearing, fading, clumping, or sliding, an exception of transferring for Angel.
  • All three of them said that their skin feels fresh and hydrated and that as if they were not wearing anything on their faces.
Angel and I. She applied some brow powder to my brows.

Sorry for the bad photo quality. ๐Ÿ™

USAGE:

  1. Take one pump on your fingers and dot some on one side of the face and work on that first. Spread and then blend.
  2. Next do the other side of your face.
  3. Then give a gentle massage.
  4. Small, gentle, downward strokes specially for the ladies with peach fuzz.
  5. Then pat lightly.

Why even bother that little massage and light patting? Well this is also a skin care product. Might as well right?

TIPS:

  1. One full pump is enough for the entire face, another pump for the neck and chest area.
  2. Do not put on too much. It will transfer and make your skin oily and tacky.
  3. Blend, blend, blend and blend some more! For maximum coverage and to make sure the product dries faster and so you won’t look patchy.
  4. When using this product, I recommend applying on one side of the face and working on it fast before moving to the other side. This dries up quickly and will make your skin look patchy if you don’t work quick!
  5. Use thy fingers! Applying this with a brush is also nice, but I find that when I use my fingers, the warmth helps blend the product nice and even. Also saves me a butt load of water from washing my brush. And I use less product. The brush eats the product.
  6. Don’t worry much about the shimmer. It’s not glitter.
  7. AND BLEND YOUNG JEDI! BLEND!
  8. To remove, use an oil cleanser and then a facial wash that helps remove oil and makeup for better cleaning.

For references:

My skin is combination type, oily T-zone and the sides of the nose and eyelids, enlarged pores, acne-prone, cystic and cluster acne problems. Uneven skin tone. I also sweat a lot.

Sister number 1: Hannah

Combination skin type, oily T-zone, cheek area and eyelids, dry and flaky areas around the chin. Some hormonal pimples.

Sister number 2: Angel

Oily skin type, acne-prone (cystic and clusters), and very sensitive, has bad acne problems, enlarged pores.

Sister number 3: Alex

Dry skin type, flaky areas around the chin, cheeks, and nose. Uneven skin tone on the chin and cheek areas. She also sweats a lot.

Any thoughts? Any tricks and tips? Positive or negative, share it away!

Quick Rev: Laneige Two Tone Lip Bar

Hi! I wanted to share about this very popular lip bar by Laneige. One of my friends gave it to me yay! I can’t afford this it’s too expensive for me. Thank you ate for giving me one ๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿ˜Š

Ombre has been in trend for a while now, so you can see how much people likes this one since it’s so easy to pull that gradient or two toned lip with one product althroughout the day. Laneige is a Korean product by Amore Pacific, a comoany that makes great skin care and cosmetic products.

Smell:
Smells like those green circular chewy candies dusted with sugar. Yummy ๐Ÿ˜ต

Texture:
Light creamy. Like butter creamy. It glides on smoothly even with chapped lips.

Longevity:
It transfers and fades, but it leaves a little color on the lips.

My experiences with this product:

  • Easier to use when going for an ombre lip.
  • Color payoff is amazing like my CP lippie stix ๐Ÿ‘ One swipe and you have a great color. But if you want a more intense look go for more.
  • Although, it sits on the lips. I could feel it.
  • It does not bleed on fine lines around the lips even when I had oily food ๐Ÿ‘
  • The texture, when swiped around 3 times, reminds me of L.A. Girl Matte Lipsticks. It feels a little gummy.
  • It has very small shimmer in it, but it does not make it look like I’m wearing a shiny shimmery lipstick. It makes the lips fuller than it is.
  • The pink color does not really help cover the discolored parts of my lips, but! When I apply it sideways mixing the color together it covers all the discoloration and it gives this really nice soft orange ๐Ÿ‘
  • It’s a little more fragile than my other lipsticks.
  • I tried it on bare lips and with my Innisfree Lip Tapping Concealer, it has the same outcome. So it doesn’t matter if you conceal your lips first or not.
  • Surprisingly it hydrated my lips really well.
  • I found that when I rub my lips together a few times until it doesn’t feel like its sitting on my lips and then blot it, pressing lightly on it, it becomes more of a tint than a lipstick and it does not transfer at all aaand it stays long ๐Ÿ‘

Tips:

  1. This lipstick breaks fast so becareful not to expose like half of it before application.
  2. Remember to remove the cap first before playing with the lever on the side, it exposes the lipstick.
  3. Try not to leave it in a hot place. It melts.
  4. When blotting, press your lips together on a tissue square and then dab a clean part on your lips to make sure none is left to transfer, but don’t worry the color will now be a tint instead of a lipstick ๐Ÿ˜Š

Application:

Like any other lipstick, swipe! But not too hard or you’ll end up with a mess. Press your lips together and smack. If you want a more natural looking out come, blot with a tissue square.

The color matches are awesome and it’s easy to go for that two tone lip even when I’m on the go, but the price is just too high for me ๐Ÿ™ I would buy them but…๐Ÿ˜ญ I can’t splurge more than a thousand for one lipstick.

Have you tried this? Any thoughts about it? Application tips? Share it!

P.S. Check it out next week. I’ll be showing you guys our faces lol!

A’pieu Cushion Tok Tint

Hey there! I’m reblogging this post from my old account, but my feelings for it is still the same ๐Ÿ˜†

Cushion products are very in right now that even lipsticks has it. A product from A’pieu, a korean based sister company of Missha, introduced a unique way of putting on yourย lip makeup in the form of cushion tapping application called A’pieu Cushion Tok Tint.

Basically this product is more of a powdery lipstick type not a lip tint. It comes in a small cushion applicator that retracts from the handle and a screw on cap. So where’s the product? It’s in the cap. So don’t lose or break it!

It has a small amount of product, I must say I was a little disappointed, but I had an idea that maybe after all the product is gone I can use the cushion applicator to apply my lipstick ^_^ or maybe for a fun way of eyeshadow application! And since it’s a lipstick it transfers although it leaves a little stain on the lips.

Note: I tried this product and had some coffee. Transferred but left some sheer color on my lips.ย

Itย tasteย a little like red iced tea but has a bitter aftertaste. Nothing annoying.

The product itself smells faintly of red iced tea, and the cushion applicator smells like the cushion puff applicator found in cushion compacts.

APPLICATION:

Taptaptap on the lips, for a gradient effect first tap on the inner part of the lips and use the side with less product to blend out.

It actually looks more vibrant in real life.

You can intensify the color if you wish to, just tap in more product, or put one layer for a light and fresh looking effect.

I’m having fun with this product ^_^ if only they formulate it to be a more tint type because of the small amount of product it would have been better. But hey, it’s fun, it’s fresh, it’s unique!

Laneige Pore Control BB Cushion

Recently I have been looking for a pick me up on cosmetics that has skin benefits, there are a lot out there and looking for one that suits your needs and that fits your skin tone without looking odd or deathly is a little hard unless you opt for just makeup and has a high price tag then it will not be hard to get one, but being a student splurging money is hard to come by -_-”

The hype of cushion cosmetics has become so popular around the world that some fortunate souls out there can grab one and try it and let it go if they don’t like it just like that or for whatever reason. But for those not so fortunate we grab one and pray that it works and if not well…sigh.. lol

Anyway, my TFS cushion in the shade V205 is a little darker for my skin right now and i kept it in a tight ziplock (hoping it will still be usable) for the summer and I came across a sale and tried out this cushion which is very popular called Laneige Pore Control BB Cushion, a company from Amore Pacific, that produces skin care and cosmetics.

The cushion comes in a variety of shades split in neutral and cool toned and comes in a cushion compact case with a holographic front cover.

Credits to Laneige

It has a textured cushion which helps to evenly distribute the product on the skin.

This product claims to:

  • Help the appearance of pores
  • Airbrushed, natural effect
  • Keeps skin moisturized
  • Have a brightening effect
  • Cover blemishes
  • Help with excess sebum

I have been using this product for almost one and a half months now. And the following are my observations:

Smell:
At first, the product smells of those cologne that we used when we were pre-teens (at least my friends does) with the citrusy refreshing smell that isn’t strong, but after a several minutes the scent disappears and all you can smell is mineral water all day while using this product. I find it refreshing.

Texture and consistency:

It does not have a sticky or tacky feel on the skin after it settles, and i find this lightweight. Feels like you’re not wearing anything.

Coverage:

I can say that this can be built up to medium to full coverage depending on what you’re going for. But I use this sheer just because I feel like my skin can breathe a little more.

Pore control:

Since I have a sucky camera I couldn’t take a good picture of what it did to blur out my enlarged pores, but it did the job! ^_^
The pores on my nose and on the cheek area has been covered but the redness of the pimples I have didn’t. Keep in mind that this is sheer coverage.

And yes my ears are lighter, that’s cause they’re always hidden.

Sebum control:
I commute to the university everyday so I’m exposed to dust, heat and I sweat a lot. And with heat and sweat comes oil! 4 hours before I noticed a little oil on my nose and 8 hours before I wanna just take everything off and start from scratch because my nose is oiling up and my face feels a little sticky.

Longevity:
I found that when I applied this product without a primer, it lasted longer. I have no idea why cause primers usually also help with adherence to the skin. It did stay on my skin the whole day even when I kept blotting my face cause I’m sweating too much. And not to mention it still smelled like mineral water after I got home! ^_^

Other benefits:

  • As almost all cushion foundations, it contains SPF50+, PA+++ which helped my skin while walking under the sun because I like walking.
  • It has cotton seed extracts that helps with brightening the skin tone.
  • It did not darken on my skin so that great!
  • It did not cause irritation or break outs.
  • I have to.mention that it is slightly waterproof like The Face Shop cushion.

Cons:

  • It’s expensive. Ugh.
  • It’s hard to find the shade I use because I have a medium skin tone and I live in a medium skin-toned people country.
  • After a several usage I noticed that the product is already hard to get, maybe getting squished towards the bottom of the container.
  • It’s expensive.

HOW TO APPLY:

Press the puff applicator on the sponge GENTLY or you’ll end up with too much product that will go to waste.

Gently pat the product on the skin working your way around your face NOT RANDOMLY PATTING IT ALL OVER or you will end up uneven and patchy.

I find that when I spread the product on the skin first and then patting and blending it, I use less product and end with an even texture.

Let it settle for a minute before you use a setting powder or finishing powder. So many powders -_-” BUT! since I have oily zones, I do use Skinfood Peach Sake Silky Finish Powder which I will write about later.

Personally I don’t use setting powders since I find that this product doesn’t really need it but…I only apply it sheer so hehe ^_^

If you guys have some tricks and tips for applying and setting the product, share it with me!

For reference: I have enlarged pores, very oily nose, combination and sensitive skin with acne scars.
